| So. Hi. Again. Uh, this is Scott...again.
[one day he will learn how to be cool. one day.]
I know this message will probably seem weird to a lot of people here, but...
[a shrug. it's something he knows he should've offered months ago. back when he'd first come back to cadelle with a new found appreciation for just what he is.]
The full moon was just over a week ago, and I know that it's something that probably doesn't matter to most of you. But for some of us here, it's kind of a big deal.
[to put it mildly]
Getting through a full moon is a lot easier when you have a distraction. I've got my friends here. My pack. [and if his smile happens to get a lot softer as he mentions them? well, he doesn't regret it at all. they're his family.] We've got each others backs if we need it. Which kind of brings me to the whole point of this message.
[finally.]
If there's anyone out there who needs a hand during the next full moon, we're here. [yeah, sorry gang. you don't get a say in this.] Whether you need someone to run with, or just someone to talk to for the night, let me know. You don't need to go through it alone.
[and that's it. or at least, that would be it if scott wasn't hit with a sudden realization--]
Werewolves. I'm talking about werewolves. Sorry.
[smoothest mf in the city. now he's really going to hang up. sorry again, cadelle.] |

| [Malia got super excited when she thought she got some deer jerky as a random thank you gift from the city. Then she actually smelt it and she was very disappointed to find out that it wasn't real meat. :(
It's not that she has anything vegans, they can do whatever they want with their bodies and their appetites and if they want to eat bird food then that's fine. But Malia likes meat. In fact, Malia loves meat. So she is zero interest in eating this jerky, thank you very much.
But she's not going to let it go to waste, either, and hey! Maybe she can get some bonus "nice person" points by giving it away, hence this video of Malia lying on her stomach crushing a cute plush coyote underneath her as she talks.]Anybody like vegan jerky? [She'll hold up one of the bags and dangle it in front of the camera.]I got some as a gift from the city, but fake meat is weird. Free to anyone who wants it. [Please take it off her hands, thank you.] |

| Okay, someone left something very important out of the pitch when selling this place somewhere along the line. Why did nobody tell me I was coming into musical theater city here? I'd have been prepared!
[She's not actually annoyed at all. In fact, there's a huge part of Sally that finds this entire thing hilarious. She was nowhere near prepared to see people bursting into song left and right - or for the itchy tickle in her own throat. And this is, of course, after bursting into her own song, which...really she's not all that ashamed of.
The only odd thing is that she didn't sound like a dying cat, really.
Prepared for a new life...yes...prepared for a new, sudden talent in singing and musical numbers breaking out everywhere - no. And yet she's in gerat spirits because she's pretty much alive again. She's got another chance.]
Is this a normal thing here, or just a special welcome for me? And before anybody answers there's definitely a correct answer out of the two! Or an ideal one anyway. ;p
No, but seriously - normal? Abnormal? Holy shit Sally you brought in way too much weirdness so it's got to explode around you too?
What's the verdict? Because as weird as I am I'm not normally want to sing in stranger's faces. Unless I've been drinking, anyway.
[Yeah...she probably is way too jovial for all of this, but she can't help it. Hard to be in a bad mood when you're her. And getting another chance, y'know!] |
|
| so, uh what's everyone's take on pets on this place? has that been already been covered? yknow with the whole this place's just like a pit stop, for some of us [ he feels he should clarify. he doesn't know your lives. ], til we get that wish.
[ like it's one thing to start something with someone who knows and understands you're gonna leave. it's another thing to do that to an animal who has come to depend on you. ] |
|
| [it's a message that he'd planned to send to a select few. but between his own shivering and the pair of dogs he's trying to keep warm, mistakes were made. thus, this network post.]
So, uh... I know we all-- We're in the same boat here. But if one of you could...
[he stops a moment to grit his teeth and try to hold back a shudder. a moment more to try and huddle down further with his only sources of heat right now.]
I know I shouldn't have gone out. But they needed a walk, and I didn't think--
[okay, going on a tangent here really isn't helping. let's try that again.]
Look, I haven't eaten since this morning, it's freezing outside, and Mick, please tell me you're listening? Cause I could really use some heat right now. [and if anyone out there had a way to set fire to snow, it'd be mick, science be damned.]
Or if anyone's around... [okay, where the hell are they?] I'm, uh-- Near Len's old place. [and if any of you judge him for that, he will hit you. or at least just grumble a lot.] I could really use a hand. |

| [The video opens on Magnus, hair a little more mussed than usual, eyeliner in place but smudged, clearly working hard and distracted.]
Hello, everyone, I am Magnus Bane, and I have something of a dilemma.
[The camera swings around to a table with a small cauldron on it, a set of brass scales, and several small bottles and jars, most of them empty. Magnus appears again, keeping the bookshelf in view over his shoulder.]
Of course I brought my spellbook with me, and my brewing equipment—never trust a cauldron you haven't seasoned yourself—but where might one go to buy potion ingredients? I'm low on… [He looks over his shoulder, assessing the supplies he's brought with him.] ...saffron threads, vampire hair, grave dirt, lavender...well, everything. Space was at a premium and I'm afraid I couldn't bring my inventory with me.
[The phone comes with Magnus, floats with Magnus on a cloud of blue smoke, as he walks away from his brewing headquarters, and now in the background can be seen half-unpacked boxes, the walls hung with sweeping red and blue silks. There's stuff everywhere, far too much for the apartment's size, but the image steadies as Magnus turns again, sweeping out his arms.] I only need the basics for now. And if you need something, do let me know. No love potions, but I conjure up a wicked energy booster for mornings after. Or nights before.
[With a wink, Magnus snaps his fingers and the video ends in a colorful shimmer of light before the screen goes black.] |

| [ it comes in the middle of the night: ]
The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?
[ though he could easily write a post to engage with the network at large, doing that is too simple. alec isn't too interested in placing more of his personal information online for anyone to find — privacy is key, and being in the shadows is literally what he does best. ]
[ in other words: alec's bored but doesn't want to be clary levels of social. ] |

| ( when the feed turns on, there's a smirky-looking blonde, front-facing camera showing her selfie-style, waiting to greet her viewers; such a public broadcast isn't quite sara lance's speed (being a sneaky former assassin will do that to a person), but she's got the type of charisma that allows her to ease into a natural confidence without so much as batting an eyelash. )Hey, Cadelle. I'm Sara Lance, a volunteer citizen here just like I'm sure a bunch of you are. And, just like I know a few of you are, I was previously a citizen of a city known for generating energy through a lot less charitable actions. ( a beat, and her teeth tug at her lower lip to dissuade a devious grin. ) Alright, maybe they could be considered charitable, depending on who you ask. — But anyway! I decided that because I was given the opportunity to live here, I may as well do my part and try to acclimate to this city's culture. That's how I discovered The Women's Building. I can almost promise that you've seen it, but never stopped to find out what it is. Don't worry — Sara Lance saves the day yet again. ( she holds her cuddlephone out in front of her to show the massive building behind her (she's standing across the street from it to show the whole thing, covered in beautiful murals; wait, nope, she taps her screen and flips the camera around, turns so she can actually show how gorgeous the building is, uninterrupted by her face. alright, time to flip the camera back to selfie-mode, her grin wide and carefree. )Gorgeous, right? I can promise you that the inside's just as beautiful, too — as are the huge number of volunteers that devote their time to the center. That's where people like you and me come in. The Women's Building is looking for more volunteers, to help out in any way possible in exchange for a small weekly stipend, or just to further your energy contributions to the city. It's the best of both worlds: helping yourself by helping out other badass ladies. The Women's Building offers a bunch of services, including tech tutoring for those of you either way behind or way ahead of our current technology, wellness courses like weekly yoga and nutrition classes to help you feel better every day, dance classes, meditation, and a variety of teachers to help you learn new skills, much like what was offered at the citywide "Employment Extravaganza". ( there's a lifted hand to show off some glorious air quotes at that. ) Hell, you want some legal advice for when you're back in your world? They've got attorneys on hand for you to talk to, and they're always looking for more. Learn about managing your finances, taxes, get some assistance with the whole job thing ... You name it, they've got it. I've volunteered as a self-defense instructor down at The Women's Building, with private classes happening as requested. I'm more than qualified — but you don't have to take my word for it. We can certainly do a demo before your class and you'll see what I mean. ( does she look a little mischievous? she looks a little mischievous.
but sara does sober a little so she can finish up this message that's suddenly becoming longwinded as hell: ) So, women of Cadelle: join me! Come volunteer. Teach a class! Drop me a text here and we can schedule a one-on-one self-defense class, or tell me about what you'd like to contribute to the organization; I know they're really looking forward to having people from other worlds step in with some more out of the ordinary skills. Hell, we can just shoot the shit and talk about whatever you want — I'm a pretty good listener, and I've probably been in your shoes before. Seeya around, Cadelle. |
