I know this message will probably seem weird to a lot of people here, but...

[a shrug. it's something he knows he should've offered months ago. back when he'd first come back to cadelle with a new found appreciation for just what he is.]

The full moon was just over a week ago, and I know that it's something that probably doesn't matter to most of you. But for some of us here, it's kind of a big deal.

[to put it mildly]

Getting through a full moon is a lot easier when you have a distraction. I've got my friends here. My pack. [and if his smile happens to get a lot softer as he mentions them? well, he doesn't regret it at all. they're his family.] We've got each others backs if we need it. Which kind of brings me to the whole point of this message.

[finally.]

If there's anyone out there who needs a hand during the next full moon, we're here. [yeah, sorry gang. you don't get a say in this.] Whether you need someone to run with, or just someone to talk to for the night, let me know. You don't need to go through it alone.

[and that's it. or at least, that would be it if scott wasn't hit with a sudden realization--]

[ The sheepish look on his face is not one that he's proud of, especially because of what's happening immediately behind him. There's a dog on its back, all four legs in the air, and its chewing on the rope of his lasso. He only wishes that he could say this has happened to him before. ]

If anyone's seeing this, I could use a little help to get out of this...situation.

[ The dog barks. ]

I don't know if I'll get arrested for this, but I think this animal might belong to someone and is lost, so any distractions for the police would be very appreciated.

[ Another bark, like the dog approves and is enjoying its upside-down antics, kicking its legs in the air like it enjoys it. With a wary look back at the screen, Vasquez gives one last pleading look of help in a single expression. ]

[GOOD MORNING CADELLE! Have a very excited Stiles all on your screen, making sure that he can be seen. He's totally at the Worm Hole, and god help you all someone let him behind the bar.]

So, just in case anyone's wondering, I'm the newest bartender over at the Worm Hole!

[he tries to spin a bottle all Tom Cruise like... and it drops. There's a grimace on his face as he looks back at the camera]

I'm still working on that part. But no, really, if you get bored and want to come visit me, I'm supposed to practice making the drinks on the menu and I need some volunteers...

... to come and give me their opinions. You can get one drink on the house from me, but it's only for this week only.

So, hey Cadelleans. Cadellers? ...Cadellites?

[nope, they all sound bad. really bad. but he's just going to stop himself grimacing at that and refocus on the whole point of this message.]

My name's Scott. I've met a couple of you when I was-- [he holds a hand up, palm down in the universal sign of "shorter".] I went home for a while, so to anybody I knew before? Sorry for everything. I was...kind of an ass back then, and I know I said a lot of things I probably shouldn't have. [though given that he's already made up with his pack, he's already dealt with the worst of it all.]

Anyway. We're all here for the same reason. [the possibilities, rather than the specifics.] So what I was thinking was that maybe we set up some kind of monthly movie night? I don't know how many of you have been to the cinema here, but they've got one screen that'd really work out great with the whole bonding-slash-intimacy thing. No seats. Just huge pillows, and the manager is up for letting us use it every month if we want to.

[it counts as an act of good will for her, and they can all add to their own energy generation with a little snuggletime while they watch. it's win-win.]

Think of it as an easy way to get a quick boost towards your goals while making a few new friends along the way. [a pause, and--] And before I forget. Any recommendations for the first movie-fest?

[just no star wars. stiles will kill him if he finally watches the films and he isn't there to witness it.

...wow does he miss the rest of his pack already. it hasn't even been a month yet.]

[when the feed opens, it's a shot of a very uncomfortable looking scott mccall. dressed in a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt, scott looks like he's been rolling in a field. which...is a lot closer to the truth than you'd think. there's a leash in one of his hands, the whole thing clearly being filmed by a second person. someone who sounds far too amused by what's happening here. so it's around a laugh that the mystery voice prompts a quiet "go on". ... right.]

Um. Hi. Uh-- My name's Scott. McCall. [wow, okay. trying this again. don't mind him while he just clears his throat and--] I'm Scott, and I'm new here? [more laughing because "that's not meant to sound like a question, kid"] --oh. Right.

Okay, my name's Scott, and I arrived a few weeks ago. I've taken a job at the animal shelter here. [he's about to continue on, but--] Sorry. Best Friends Animal Rescue. And I've been asked to see if there's anyone else out there who'd be able to lend a hand.

[there's some whining then, and scott looks down to his feet. a moment later, and he crouches out of shot to pick up the ball of fur at his feet. one slobbery lick to his face, and there goes the discomfort. now he's on to business. with a huge smile on his face, of course.]

There's a lot of little guys here who could use a friend. Even if you can't take an animal permanently, we're looking for people who'd be able to foster them for a bit. A couple of months maybe. Just so they can get out of here for a while.

I mean, it's great here. It really is. But it's not the same as giving them a family.

So, I guess. What I'm asking is: is there anybody out there who'd be interested in taking care of an animal for a while? We've got dogs, cats, rabbits, a guinea pig. Then there are also a couple of rats, a few hamsters, and some gerbils if you don't have space for any of the others.

If you're interested, you need to come by for an assessment with one of the team. I can't do that part, but if you've got any questions, I can try to help.
