Name's Mick. I figure since the city was nice enough to let me have this bar, the least I could do was let all of you have something nice too.

So for the next month, we've got half price drinks at CriminALES. Don't get used to it though.

Oh and if you're looking for a job, I could use a hand. Benefits include a paycheck. You still have to pay for your drinks and no you can't have 'em on the clock.

[one of the defining characteristics of a good supervillain, besides a love for witty one liners, that is, is the ability to carefully observe people's microexpressions. it's an invaluable skill for moments just like this where someone has something to hide. her body language tells him a whole lot more than her voice does.]

Seems to me like maybe you're not a member of the Barry Allen fan club... [he's stabbing in the dark here. he has no idea the nature or patty's relationship with barry other than the one she's just admitted so far. but he knows she's hiding something... and mick's always been the kind of person to pick at wounds rather than just leave them be.]

He do you dirty? Tell your boss to take you off a case? Did he steal the last cup of coffee and donut from the breakroom?

[ and one of the defining characteristics of patty spivot is not to put the people she cares about at risk. okay, so they broke up in a bad way but she still thinks a great deal of barry allen. and especially now that she knows who he is.]

I'm a card carrying member of the Barry Allen fan club, actually. [ there's honesty there. it's just... she used to be the president. now she's not. besides, she's not about to give a supervillain ammunition that might get barry hurt. this city is supposedly secure but...]

I left Central City to be a CSI. And yes, he was a chronic stealer of donuts. Especially the good ones.

[mick isn't sure if the news that patty's definitely still a fan of barry allen is a good or bad thing. sure, he and barry are friends. probably closer friends than they'd ever have been before saving the world and then working together side by side for months. but barry's got this habit of leaving messes in his wake... of having complicated entanglements with everyone in his life. in short, barry allen is a messy messy boy. mick sighs frustratedly.

of course, if patty's calling him out as heatwave, she's probably not aware that he and barry are actually on friendly terms... perhaps it's time to let the cat out of the bag before someone says something stupid.]

I know. Believe me, I've seen first hand how many he can put away. Bottomless pit of a human, I swear.

Tends to happen when you're someone's boss. You small talk around the water cooler so to speak. He throws a party at your business without asking beforehand.

[he shrugs his shoulders, offering up a fairly nonchalant reply.]

Should probably warn you that you might meet a lot of people around here who've been in a place kind of like this before. Least I can do for someone who's part of the Barry Allen Fan Club.
