[It's very sad how proud he is that he's figured out his little phone, but that's just one part of modern society that he's got down pat. The other is one that's long overdue, because his shirt is still blood-stained, starting to tear at the seams, and no matter how he tries to save it, it's no use.]
Hello anyone who's listening. I have a little problem that could use solving and I have just enough money to make it worth someone's while. Maybe you can see, but I don't exactly have very nice clothes for these days, hoping that someone could take pity and show me what it is people wear.
[Normal people, not the kind who he's seen around.]
There's some cash in it for you. Maybe a good drink? Whatever you find best, but it only happens after you help me.

[And that is being taken into consideration. Still it's just an odd perspective.]
An accident as a kid. Yeah.

You still have to get dressed, but how do you know if you look any good? Does someone tell you this? Are they honest to you?

You could be going outside not knowing that you look like shit.

I also have phone apps that give me a basic description of what I should be looking at. And so far no one has laughed at me so I think I'm doing well enough. I've resigned to never be a fashion plate.
no subject
Then again, maybe I won't be so good myself.
no subject
[Though he's not sure what falls under that umbrella.]
I'm told I don't look half bad by reliable sources but you're welcome to chime in.
[Pfff like the guy needs permission.]
At least I won't have to see you fail.

Any tips, then? You say that I should have nice shoes, shirts, pants. Colours? Something like that I should try?
no subject
I've been told nearly everyone looks good in navy blue.
no subject
I always liked burgundy. The rich colour of deep blood against your skin.
no subject
In the right kind of company, yeah. That would work nicely.

There are also other events. Beach parties, events. I have nothing for those, this is why I need new help.

You said you were a lawyer, this thing where you help people. Did you need to make sure they dress nice there, too?
no subject
[The phone, hombre!]
Yes. I would heavily advise looking presentable in court. The judge doesn't know you personally neither does the jury. And in that circumstance appearances are key to look unsuspecting.

What happens if you don't get a judge or a jury? Does it matter what you wear to the hanging?
no subject
If a person takes another person's life, that is murder. And usually if you are going to be sentenced to death the prison issues you a uniform.
no subject
That should be enough to make you want to be very, very good at the murder, if you need to do it.
[He may have a very different outlook on murder than most modern people, he's starting to find.]
no subject
...You're joking right?
no subject
Yes? Yes. I am. It's not very nice to put a man in any clothes but his own, though. I think you're right about torture.
no subject
[Right? Right?]
Why were you thinking of a change? Trying to impress someone? Get a job?
no subject
[He draws out that word, because maybe he might be fucking with Matt just a little, but it's so fun.]
I should accommodate to the future, I think, but also, my one good shirt is starting to fall apart. No one needs to see me shirtless all the time, it's not proper.
no subject
[:I SIR HDU.]
Wow. So you do have a sense of decency.
[Two can play at this game.]
no subject
[He believes in God, too, Matt, just not in the same ways. Snorting a little at the crack about his decency, his voice is tinged with amusement.]
Who said I didn't?
no subject
[Killing people no? Severely beating them into submission? That's a whole different story.]
Oh. No one in particular.
