If we're talking favourites, then, I always liked the one about the sprig of Rosemary. And you can't go wrong with La Bella Durmiente del Bosque. Sleeping Beauty?

A cursed girl pricks her finger on a spinning wheel, falls asleep, can only be woken up by some brave lothario.
Which is about the extent of my Spanish, if it even is. Sprig me.

There is a girl whose father makes her do work, but when she does, a lord finds her and asks to marry her after accusing her of being a thief. She finds keys, but because she uses them, her home falls apart, which is what the old housekeeper warned of her.

But what she found in the room? It was a snakeskin; her husband changed his shape. When the castle fell to ruin, she took her rosemary sprig and went to look for him. In her search, she talks to the Sun, the Moon, and the Wind, and finds the husband was meant to marry the King's Daughter, so she went to stop them.

She uses tricks and cunnery and manages to get her husband back, and the rosemary gives him back his memory. He doesn't marry the princess, but stays with her. Good story, no?

Sounds like one pain in the ass after another. At least she got to do the saving.

It's a good fairytale, I think. It has lots of adversity and a good heroine.

I like when a woman fights so much for a man. It shows dedication.

I don't know, that guy sounds like kind of an idiot.

He's a shapeshifter who is rich and has a castle. It isn't his fault that he lost his memory.

How are those things related?

The memory? I think it was part of the curse.

But who doesn't want to be rich and able to shed your skin and become someone new, when the time calls for it?

Not on the inside, but if you're a shapeshifter, you can turn into anything you want.

Like someone else's husband, as long as you sell the amnesia thing hard enough.

I meant shifting into things like a hawk or an eagle.

If you can't get a woman with your own face, it's cheating and dirty to do it as someone else's.

Hawks and eagles are basically the same thing.

So sparrows, then. Or lynx. Some kind of animal that lets you be wild and free. That would be the benefit of shapeshifting.

What about shapeshifting just to change little things about yourself? Taller? Different hair?

It would make hiding in plain sight very easy, too.

Heels. Hair dye. Guess what I don't wear or use.

And as for hiding in plain sight, that's already easy. Kicking it up to 'very' isn't making much of a difference.

I don't know how good I would look in hair dye and I'm tall enough without the heels.

When there is papers with your face on it, you would give anything to change, I promise that.

So its worth the death penalty. [ where and whenever he hails from, stranger. good to know her lack of faith in the reps isn't completely misplaced. ]

It shouldn't be, to defend yourself, but it is.

No one pays attention to the 'alive' part of 'dead or alive' when you look like me, is all.
