[ Gathering information will help him in the long run. Especially knowing what sort of darkness or magic is swirling about in this place. Eudio was vastly different. No tolerance for certain things. This place seems to be a bit different. Still the same consequences if one were to step out of line, but a different sort of reaction you could say. Easier to hide in the nooks and the crannies about. ]

I've a question for the wonderful citizens of this cuddly city? What sort of familiarity do you have with magic? Light and dark. Good or bad. I'm curious as to what you lot know?

[ If they know about the Dark One and his weakness. He'd prefer to keep that bit under wraps. Excalibur isn't here and he'd rather it stay away. He's here to cut himself away from the bloody sword. ]

I don't know if it's magic. He thought it was God but it wasn't God.

I'm afraid I don't know what a preacher is though.

Yeah... I mean, it wasn't on purpose. He lost his temper because I was telling him that using his power to make people believe in God was a sin.

So, I was kind of stuck there until I came here.

[ There's absolutely no doubt in his mind that if he does fall as the Dark One he'll have a one way trip down there. As the Dark One you don't get a chance. No matter what. ]

Sounds to me that a man that careless should not have ever had such a power to begin.

It seems your Gods made a truly large mistake entrusting such a foolish man with such a gift. Were they tricked?

In your world they must be. In my own they're rather simple.

They have rules. Same as anything else.
