My ex used to do that to me. Invite me over all the time and then if I went over on my own, I was smothering him. For Jackson, it was power-trippy because he was stupid and annoying like that. I don't know what Baby's deal would be, though. :(

Know what might make you feel better? Coming to the shelter with me...I'm thinking about adopting a puppy. You can come play with all the cute puppies with me until I find the right one, if you want.

Or we could meet up for tea.

( Sansa rather loves canines in general, considering Lady and Otis, and the idea of playing with puppies for a little while sounds very appealing. She thinks that's better than crying alone in her room until it's time to teach a dance class or to deliver one of her sewing projects to a client. )

I will come to play with puppies. I do not know why Baby does not want me around, he asked if I was tired of him and I said I wasn't because I am not. He wants space, though. It's selfish of me not to honor the request.

How often do you guys see each other, anyway? He never gave any kind of indication that he was feeling stifled? Jackson always did, it just took me almost a year to notice.

( Which has more to do with the fact that Lydia and Jackson might have been in love, but they also largely treated one another like arm candy. It wasn't a healthy relationship. )

Oh, okay. So there's the thing. Most guys get all weird about that. Why, I have no idea, because half the time, when it happens, it's because they've given us a reason to think that they want us to. You know what?
No biggie. Give Baby the space he wants so bad that he couldn't be bothered to mention it until now (WHATEVER, seriously, I hate that so much when guys do that)...and we'll find stuff to do that's just for you.

Then he'll wake up and realize he's being kind of a douche, he'll apologize, and life goes on <3

If he discovers that he prefers the time alone, then he sucks and we find you someone better, but I'm pretty sure this is going to blow over. It always does, hon. I feel like if it was the kind of thing he'd find he prefers, he'd probably have just said he wanted to go on a break, like break up. You're good.

( she's seen them together, when sansa comes over to baby and robbie's apartment. she's seen the way sansa is with her friends. sansa is doting and caring and tender, like some disney princess come to life whose only life goal is to be the most dainty and delicate flower. she wouldn't be surprised if it felt like 'too nice' to baby, who didn't even think he was good enough for her in the first place. )

i wasn't aware there was anything wrong with wanting to see him every day. he's shared my bed, kimberly. i cannot simply...that is something reserved for a husband and i shared it with him anyway. it's quite serious to me. i wouldn't have thought he'd not want me around in the evenings after we shared that with one another. it's...i don't know these rules. i can't win this game.
