[the video flickers to life in the middle of robbie's living room. his smiling, clean shaven face greets one and all with a very important message.]

Citizens of Cadelle. I mustache you a question...

[in the background an audible groan can be heard, followed by the mutterings of his very unimpressed girlfriend. clearly she's not as big a fan of his terrible jokes as he is.]

It's the first of November. I'd like to invite all of you to grow a mustache with me. And maybe raise some funds for men's health. Doesn't matter if it's a fu manchu or a handlebar, come join me.

Let's see who can a: grow the most epic 'stache and b: raise the most funds and awareness.

Ladies? I'm enlisting you to be the judges of this unofficial competition.

[he knows that tone, kara danvers. he knows it well. it's the same one that his girlfriend adopted when she first saw him without the facial hair. he knows he looks like a baby without it.

don't remind him. he's looking forward to growing it all back out. fret not.]

Oh, no — ( is she selling this confident dismissal? probably not. ) — it's not bad. Just... different. Younger?

( usually it's women that want to look younger, in her experience, but who's to say men can't try to look youthful too? )

You are growing it back, right? This is the whole "no shave November" thing?

[definitely not selling it. trust him, kara. you couldn't lie your way out of a bag.] It's okay. You can say it. I have a baby face.

[his exasperated sigh and the slump of his shoulders says that it's not the first time he's heard it. nor is it the first time he's heard it from someone in the city.]

Yeah. I figured it fit right in with the whole 'runs on good deeds' thing here.

It's a good idea! Raising money for charity is always a nice thing to do, I'm sure the city will appreciate it.

( and she's pretty sure he'll appreciate his own facial hair growing back as soon as humanely possible. )

You do have a baby face, but I don't think it's a bad thing. It's just... well, the facial hair suits you. You look more like you with it.

[he's definitely looking forward to the familiar reflection staring back at him when he looks in the mirror in the mornings. the mustache can't come back soon enough.]
