( good thing this is something that will's probably done eighty five thousand times in his life before, and he's quick to snatch said cigarette off of the floor and shove it back into his mouth (five second rule, or something like that), as though desperately trying to make sure he's not smoking a joint instead. nope, that sure is the beautiful stench of acrid tobacco filling his lungs — no hallucinogens are present, and yet. and yet. )

( oops? she'd apologize, but smoking is bad for your health. maybe the split second of surprise that sent his cigarette on a tumble to the ground might have been a blessing in disguise. a few moments of narcotic-free air might have done well for his lungs. he should be thanking her, basically. )

Kara. ( a vague point to herself, which feels as useless as it probably looks; her hand drops awkwardly to her side after a moment or two. ) We, uh — we talked on the network? Hair dye help?

( two is the number of her hands, and the number of her hands will count only up to two. waving them a la jazz hands for a moment gives her a brief distraction before she's hovering just outside the windowsill. )

( sorry, he's seen some weird shit in these places — hell, he's gotten down with a vampire, sold ice cream for a magical ice queen, and the girl he's — occasionally seeing? hanging out with? talking to? ew, that all sounds so lame — is super strong and can make her eyes glow and will's somehow managed to live to tell the tale. completely unexpected, completely unbelievable, but he believes it now.

doesn't mean it's any less of a shock to see some girl hovering outside of his window, whether by magic or ... who knows what. jesus christ. he can get it together. )

( judging by the fade, the answer is probably. luckily for will, he's got the world's most enthusiastically helpful superhero — supergirl — on hand to help. with two hands, even. )
