In fact, it's safe to say she looks decidedly the opposite. That might be because of the sopping wet stretch of her black t-shirt, the stains on her jeans, or the fact that her hair is plastered unattractively to her face as she leans against the alley wall outside of Deja Brew. She's tried wringing out the remaining iced coffee but so far, so not good. )

You know, maybe all the good vibes and cuddling has people all blissed out and clumsy, I don't know. But this is definitely not the first "accident" - ( She lifts a hand, moves her fingers in the signal for quotations, her arms now very obviously all gauntleted up. She's not making that mistake twice. ) - I've been involved in, the last couple of days. Or maybe, just maybe, the drinks around here suck.

( A pause, a sigh. She should just take this like a champ but she's also so very done with feeling like the bad guy. ) But just in case everyone really did have their brains rattled out of their heads the other day, I - ( Pointing to herself. ) -- did not have anything to do with the earthquake. I was trying to help. ( Admittedly, a girl with earthquake powers in the middle of a natural disaster, kind of sketch. But she's fed up of smelling like a dumpster. It's not getting her any dates. ) And if you don't believe me, well, the high school revenge is getting kind of old. Switch it up a bit.

I think everyone was blindsided. But we're working on that. The way it is now, it's small, but it has heart.

The Chitauri, right? That's the one everyone goes to first. I guess it's because it really opened up our eyes to their being some serious shit going on in the universe.

( It's depressing, but Daisy likes knowing there's more out there even now. )

Absolutely. I know they keep saying that it could have been worse but it really was something.

[Did the cost of that knowledge have to be so high?]

Law. I was born and raised in Hell's Kitchen.

( Something tickles at the back of her mind, and he can probably hear the little aha noise when she inhales. )

I'm going to take a wild guess here and ask which one are you? Nelson or Murdock? ( He's nice. If he's a lawyer who isn't evil, then he's going to be infamous. Speaking of infamy. ) And have you ever actually run into the Devil of Hell's Kitchen? ( She says the title with a little bit of irony. Some names are just strange. She knows. ) I heard he once took out three guys with a school crossing sign.

( Hearsay, sorry Matt. )

[The high profile case of Wilson Fisk makes this recognition less of a shock. Matt is not nearly so humble as to brush it off. They worked so hard. Him, Karen and Foggy.]

Murdock. Matthew actually. Matt is fine.

[Wow uh. The whiplash is real.]

Briefly. Yeah. He had information. Not really a guy to stick around and share words. I'd like to say that he's a nice guy but no sane person does that. Just... a relief that someone steps up to the plate.

[He laughs and fails to cover that up with a throat clearing.]

Can't say I've actually seen him in action.

( She's sorry, or she would be if she knew. Not that she'd advise doing away with the whole secret identity thing, because fanfiction is real and it is scary. )

I mean, I don't really have a leg to stand on here. If I could go back and claim a secret identity I'm pretty sure I would. ( The world finding out about her power was a byproduct, something she never intended. She didn't want to be a figurehead for Inhumans. It just happened. )

I'm just glad there are people out there still trying to do the right thing, you know? Our world's pretty messed up.
