( When the video comes up, a redhead with carefully applied makeup and purposefully-tousled waves comes on the screen, looking a little more like she's about to take a selfie than shoot a video. She's looking at the camera, but she isn't necessarily smiling, so much as just...looking thoughtful. )

Okay, so maybe reaching out to a mass audience is the best way to do this, so here goes. I'm Lydia and I'm feeling incredibly indecisive about a focus of study. I should probably keep my mind sharp between now and the time I end up back home/MIT, so I'm going to go to the university. That said, I don't really see any point in pursuing biochemical engineering here because none of it will probably transfer back home. So, fellow science-minded people of Cadelle, name your favorite science; help me pick a major.

Oh, and also...I'm volunteering on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. the Women's Building teaching self-defense classes.

( Because she's pretty sure it's the kind of thing Allison would do and if Chris isn't here, maybe it's up to Lydia to keep some piece of her still alive. This is the only way Lydia knows how. She's kind of garbage with a bow and arrow and she probably always will be. )

So ladies, if you've always wanted to learn how to kick somebody's ass if you're cornered in a bad way, or even if you just want to learn something while staying in shape, stop by. Don't make me be the girl who has an empty class her first day; that would be really embarrassing for me. I'll see you there!

( She grins a little and winks at that before wiggling her fingers in a little wave at the camera. Then, the picture cuts out and the video ends. )

( She looks confused for a moment, but then realizes that Malia's from between she and Stiles's time lines. )

For me, we've already broken up and for him we aren't even a thing yet, so we're just basically the same as we were before, he just hasn't had the experience of being my boyfriend, yet, is all. We're totally fine.

Oh.

[So they break up. That's ... interesting. Malia shrugs it off because she figures there are reasons she's just not privy to yet, and she nods.]

It's weird. That he's so far behind. But at least he didn't think we were still together.

[Because explaining that would have been way more awkward.]

Yeah, it just got to be too hard long distance and we figured it would be better to just be friends before the distance strained the relationship so much that we couldn't even be that. We're good though, even back home for me.

( Her nose wrinkles a little and she nods. )

It's weird that all of you are from different points; you're all behind me. It's kind of hard to know what's okay to say and what isn't. You know? ...you know. Thank God for small favors.

[She nods because yes. She feels that a lot.]

I don't care if you tell me or not. I'm not sure if it means anything really changes back home.

[Because Scott went home not wanting to be a werewolf and he came back an alpha so ...]

I know you don't, but I don't know whether, like...the rules of time or...the universe or whatever would mind. I think probably it's fine, but it just still makes me nervous, a little, I guess.

Right.

[So maybe she should go home at some point. So Lydia doesn't have to feel like she's keeping secrets. But she wants to feel out where things with Scott go first, so that is going to be put on the back burner for ... a bit.]

I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Yeah, that's probably the best bet. We'll get there.
