i don't think i have favorites
i listened to the radio when i was younger
in the car, mostly
but i don't really drive around anymore

( it's way faster just to fly. )

( the danvers weren't really music people. alex's punk rock phase was very much an out of the house sort of thing — driving her out of midvale into the city for grungy concerts in dingy social halls — and it had left kara mostly in the dust.

plus, when you can hear a heartbeat from across a football field, music doesn't often drown things out. maybe if someone had introduced her to noise-cancelling headphones... )

i don't think i've ever heard techno music before
but we usually listened to the same station, they played lots of popular music

did you ever listen to the top 40 with casey kasem?

( don't laugh, but she still remembers the jingle. that was her introduction to teen culture at 13 for an entire summer, just listening to popular music with alex and being taught what was popular and what was "uncool" at the time. the summer of 2003 was a weird time. )

To me, I guess, a little - music is everything to me, it's hard to think that some people don't listen to it much. I'm always listening to something.

You should come to the store, I'll introduce you to some stuff.

And no, I haven't. Was he on in Atlanta? I've never been much of a radio guy, it's too unpredictable and the ads don't help me. Music helps me drown out the buzz in my ears, and it gives me a rhythm. Too many ad breaks would keep me at a standstill.

i take my dog to the store with me, but he's old and ornery, and he mostly sleeps
if you don't think he'll knock stands over he's more than welcome
