001. video; un: hero.

[Cut to an open video feed which shows the living area of an apartment in one of Cadelle's residential buildings. At first there's no-one to be seen, however there is something to be heard- the obnoxiously loud and catchy tune of a particular song. Within a couple of moments young Thom Creed can be seen in a pair of briefs, white socks and a casual t-shirt a la Risky Business.

The average ordinary gay teen superhero has a broom in one hand which is being used in equal parts to sweep the floor of his apartment and also as a microphone. With Thom himself lip syncing along, not a care in the world as he throws his body around the apartment in the closest approximation you might find to dancing for a boy who'd never so much as been in a club before.

Thom was lucky to get the song to play, as inept as he was on a technological level. He was not lucky though if you considered the fact he'd managed to set the video feed to broadcast in the process, showing the entirety of Cadelle his tighty-whities and his impressive entertaining skillset.]

[When her voice rings out over the song in his room Thom drops the brush before turning to the device only to see the video feed of himself, in his underwear, having been dancing.

He runs towards the device, his face aflame.] Please... please tell me I wasn't... showing everyone, that.

It wasn't that bad, come on. But yeah, I think everyone got a bit of a show there.

You didn't do it on purpose?

[Claire feels a little bad for him, but it could be worse.]

[Thom disappears from the screen from a heartbeat. When he's back there's a glistening to his eyes that says he's probably on the verge of crying or hysterics.] No I didn't do it on purpose! I didn't even know it could do videos... I only just figured out texting.

Do you want me to come over and show you more about how it works?

[sanator]

Nope, that's fine! I'm just gonna lie here... maybe think about my choices. [He sighs heavily.] Maybe I'm just never gonna leave my apartment again?

Come on, I don't bite. And it really wasn't that bad. I've done way worse on camera.

[The sound of his device's notification pulls Thom out of his reverie and he can be seen making his way dancing over to it... until he sees the message from Ferdi and the feed cuts off entirely.]

[Thom has the common decency to look absolutely mortified after dancing his way to the device when the notification comes through. He turns the video feature off but his voice carries through the device, high and strained.] Holy fuck... I can't believe I've done this.

[The sound of Hux's voice startles Thom into action, he makes his way over to the device only to see the blinking sign that meant he was broadcasting his little dance party. He makes a noise between a groan and a scream.] I'm so sorry.

[The video feed shows Thom running over to his device and cutting it the hell off before replying in a high and strained voice.] No! It wasn't anything like that... I was cleaning my house, how did this happen?

( will's quick to switch from text to voice, considering this kid sounds mortified out of his fucking mind. )

You have? I mean... I've done worse on camera too, but not like... accidentally... that was more of a spur of the moment decision. [He sighs heavily again like its a competition.] Let's hope no-one sets fire to my yard this time. Wait, I don't have a yard... I live on the sixth floor. [He was awkwardly rambling now and really someone should just knock him out.]

How is this chill! [There was definitely an edge of hysteria creeping in there. Eighteen year old Thom was starting to sound like a three year old.] I was dancing, in my fucking underwear... to a song... about boys.

Oh, I would not recommend resorting to such dramatics.

I jumped off a Ferris wheel on live television before I got here.

[Claire smiles, she doesn't think what Thom did was so bad.]
