( When the video comes up, a redhead with carefully applied makeup and purposefully-tousled waves comes on the screen, looking a little more like she's about to take a selfie than shoot a video. She's looking at the camera, but she isn't necessarily smiling, so much as just...looking thoughtful. )

Okay, so maybe reaching out to a mass audience is the best way to do this, so here goes. I'm Lydia and I'm feeling incredibly indecisive about a focus of study. I should probably keep my mind sharp between now and the time I end up back home/MIT, so I'm going to go to the university. That said, I don't really see any point in pursuing biochemical engineering here because none of it will probably transfer back home. So, fellow science-minded people of Cadelle, name your favorite science; help me pick a major.

Oh, and also...I'm volunteering on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. the Women's Building teaching self-defense classes.

( Because she's pretty sure it's the kind of thing Allison would do and if Chris isn't here, maybe it's up to Lydia to keep some piece of her still alive. This is the only way Lydia knows how. She's kind of garbage with a bow and arrow and she probably always will be. )

So ladies, if you've always wanted to learn how to kick somebody's ass if you're cornered in a bad way, or even if you just want to learn something while staying in shape, stop by. Don't make me be the girl who has an empty class her first day; that would be really embarrassing for me. I'll see you there!

( She grins a little and winks at that before wiggling her fingers in a little wave at the camera. Then, the picture cuts out and the video ends. )

...but my friend Spencer is going to be teaching and I think you'd really be into his class. I don't think he's decided on what he's doing, but he works for the FBI back home. That's like right up your alley.

Just saying. But no, I won't make you go to classes. Cross my heart.

Oh yeah, FBI dude. I was talking to him the other day about what he does. It's kinda cool.

But does it have to be like, school kind of class?

Pretty sure that's what he's going to be doing, yeah, sweetie. You don't have to take it, but I think it wouldn't feel so much like school if you were actually interested in the course material.

Yeah but remember you like school. I'm looking forward to graduating.

Yeah but remember, I like science which is a pretty big chunk of school, so...that's why. This is different. Besides, there's nothing attached to it. If you don't like it or you're not doing well, drop the class and be done with it, you know? No one will care.

Yeah, Chem kinda killed my love of science. Except biology. But I like more hands on biology lessons, if you know what I mean.

( She lifts her eyebrows and lowers her chin at him, a half-smirk in place. Okay, he wants to go down this road? )

If you want to sleep with me, Stiles, all you have to do is say so, you know. You don't have to beat around the bush.

( That ought to have his jaw on the ground for at least a few seconds. Meanwhile, she'll just be over here feeling very smug. )

[yeah, nope that's pretty much his reaction because he is so not used to it. But he will clear his throat, rubbing at his neck a moment]

Hey, you brought it up first. I'm thinking it's more that you want to sleep with me.

I believe "hands-on biology" was what started the conversation.

( She's just saying. And if she was opposed to the idea, she wouldn't have said that in the first place, but she figures if he gives himself a second, he'll realize that on his own. )

[and he will lick his lips, because there's a very male side of him screaming to say yes because omg it's Lydia Martin wanting to sleep with him. But at the same time, this is his friend Lydia and he cares about her a lot.]

( She nods, proud of herself for "winning" the conversation. But he's ended it, so she's taking that to mean that he's not interested. He's still pretty fresh out of his relationship with Malia, if she remembers right. So much happens in such short periods of time at home that sometimes it's hard to keep everything straight, made worse by the fact that they're all from different times. )

Anyway, the class is a thought and a gentle suggestion, but by no means my way of telling you that you have to go to school.
