He's fun. He's old now, can't move so much anymore, but he used to take me on the longest drives, where we'd just listen to all these classics he loved. he taught me how to read lips and speak sign language, and how to be respectful to ladies, and to always be pursuing happiness - for myself and others.

To him, being happy was the most important thing. And he really, was, too. He lived a crazy full life, and having a kid was one of these dreams he had but didn't think he'd ever get to have. So he thought I was a gift, even though I totally screwed up all the time.
